Anxiety and stress are normal (and common) reactions that everyone experiences throughout their life. In fact, anxiety and stress are adaptive mechanisms that help people survive danger. Yet, when anxiety and stress are too high, they can restrict (and even stop) a person’s ability to function in life. This may be so because anxiety and stress may lead to constant worry, procrastination, intrusive thoughts, “over thinking”, lack of focus, loss of appetite (or over eating), headaches, frustration, anger, addiction, impulsive behaviors, and more. Quality Care

Trauma can be defined as a physiological, psychological, and emotional response that results after having witnessed an event in which the person suffered a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. Some examples of these events can be, a car accidents, physical abuse during childhood, witnessing domestic violence, rape, etc. Experiencing such events may lead to developing intense symptoms of Irritability or anger; persistent feelings of sadness and despair; inability to concentrate, guilt; isolation; nightmares; intrusive thoughts; flashbacks, sleep deprivation, hypervigilance, and much more. Helping individuals (and families) overcome the pain trauma creates has been a passion of mine. Thus, through a collaboration, compassionate and an empathic process, that allows me to meet my clients at their level of readiness for change, I can help you move towards recovery from trauma.

The literature on parenting tends to agree that it is the quality and the quantity of time spent parenting that seems to evoke positive effects on children and youth mental health outcomes. For this reason, I have devoted a significant part of my clinical experience in helping parents understand their children and formalize strong, loving, and caring bonds that can last and bring the happiness they seek in their children. Also, I have helped parents and children cope with the challenges of facing a variety of childhood mental illnesses that can manifest as defiance, aggression, irritability, sadness, fear, separation issues, grief, trauma, social issues, problems with bowel movements, and more!

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-structure” your thinking process, change unhelpful behavior, gain emotional stability, and help you identify and utilize valuable tools to cope with your life’s obstacles.


In my experience working with children and families, I have learned that families and children experience unique challenges and stress. So, through my child and family services, I can provide services to the child as well as guidance to the parents with the ultimate goal of helping the family find the happiness they seek. I help children understand their emotions, expand their thinking process, develop new coping skills, and more. I also help parents understand their child(ren) better and to collaborate with each other.
